alright...
Well... it was kind of good. wouldn't exactly call it comedy though. Only part I found humorous was the the tuba version of Charlie the Unicorn's Candy Mountain in the background...
anyone else catch that? :)

the ending...
wow... is all I have to say. I literally laughed so hard my friend was worried I was having a cardiac arrest...
and for that, I am ashamed
interesting...
Was this frame by frame animation? Just curious since I do this as well and it has that inconsistency which makes the character seem shaky. Not saying it's bad because I like it, just wondering is all.
anyways, loved the concept. The animation was good. I think the music really set the tone for the piece more than anything though since if you play it without sound it loses it's appeal. But, then that means you did a good job of using sound and animation together to make your work better doesn't it?
...good job :)
Yes, almost every frame (at least in the 'characters') was always being 'redrawn' ,. heh, thanks to onion skin!
Thanks! :)
predictable yet...
Knew exactly what was going to happen the minute I saw the doctor. Still couldn't help but chuckle.
see if you can do more with it though
ok...
Not a bad story, but I would expect more from a senior majoring in animation though...
Here's what I think the problem was, you don't have to listen if you don't want to but I think they could make your work and future work even better.
The transitions need some work as sometimes the first couple seconds of each scene has nothing going on which makes the animation seem a little unfinished and scripted.
The smooth transition would be the sequence near the beginning with the teacher spider as he points out the lesson.
a not so good example would be when the teacher points to the picture of the dead fly and the student spider has a delayed and then over the top reaction. If the timing is tweaked a little bit, the fly's reaction won't seem super cheesy.
Also, the sounds used seemed pretty generic. maybe create your own sounds to the animation to make it sound better as it sounds like you spent a lot of time making the animation but then threw in sounds you got off an old cartoon soundboard. There were a bunch of parts where I felt you were just reusing soundbites. You could either use a microphone to record each sound using your voice only or even simulate certain sounds like Tom and Jerry.
All in all it was a good animation but really go over it again if you want it to be better. Also, I'm sure you do this since you're an animator but when whenever you watch an animation pay extra attention to everything. Not just the way the character behaves and acts but the way the scene is set up, character placement on stage and on screen, and transitions. There are a ton of animators out there and if they work hard enough, they can make a character look good and move smoothly. The difference is in the way they set up and tell the story.
Check out Adam Phillips. His work would be a good example as he worked for Disney which means he did something right and it's also why his work is some of the highest rated in Newgrounds. It's not just the good looks of the character or the background. Many people comment about how good his stuff looks. But there's more elements in his work that make his story telling a lot more effective than others.
I'm not sure what you're expecting out of a senior from college. But in any case, I appreciate your input! I was going for an older cartoon style hence why I used so many old sound effects, but I admit that I couldn't find as many as I wanted to use given the amount of time. And I've watched quite a few of the top Newgrounds artist, including Adam, for inspiration. Because they're stuff is in the top for a reason...it kicks major butt! I wish I knew all the secrets that Adam knows, but only time will teach me that.
lol
this definitely looks like it could have been a kid's show. all with the perfect sounding accents and crayon backgrounds... brilliant
EPIC WIN
"you know... for the LOLZ!"
lmfao... reason enough to destroy the world
This entire animation was funny. honestly, that last part with the destroying the world with that song in the background just made it that much better.
I just gotta find that last song and use it for my own animation.
not bad
honestly, it wasn't all that funny which was a bummer since I was expecting it to be funny.
but I do have to give you credit for good animation. the motion for the characters were pretty good so I'm wondering whether or not you've had any experience in making animations before this.
Good... but a bit confused
What happened in the fallout shelter? Why the fuck did that girl kill the marines? They helped her and all since she would have died if she was out there when he nukes hit.
doesn't even make sense.... because nobody else can get in a nuclear shelter
It's about friggen time
I think I was freshman in high school when trailer came out. Now I'm in college.
Please dont make me wait so long XD
